In some areas, aivaite ceremonies are entwined with the worship of Naga Devatha. Eastern India is home to several shrines to Naga Devatha, many of which are straw-roofed temples known as Naga Devatha-badis (Naga Devatha's houses). The shrines have painted earthenware pitchers depicting hooded snakes. In certain places, there is no such temple; instead, there is an open altar with an Indian Spurge tree (Mansa-sij in Bengali), which is known as a Naga Devatha-tala (abode of Naga Devatha). Flowers, incense, boiled milk, ripe plantains, vermilion, and other offerings are used to honour the deity.

Naga Dosha

A harmful yoga is Naga Dosha, sometimes referred to as Sarpa Dosha. According to the widely accepted definition, a Naga Dosha is created in the horoscope when Rahu or Ketu are each located in the first house and the seventh house, respectively. As a result, the amended definition of Naga Dosha is as follows: Sarpa Dosha is formed in the horoscope if Rahu or Ketu are both malefic and one of them is situated in the first house while the other is put in the seventh house. Depending on his entire horoscope, the Naga Dosha may cause the native problems with his health, longevity, profession, marriage, addictions, vices, psychological issues, black magic, otherworldly creatures, bad spirits, and a variety of other problems. Looking at the signs, Sarpa Dosha may be particularly strong when malefic Rahu is situated in Taurus or Virgo and malefic Ketu is placed in Scorpio or Pisces. Rahu and Virgo are both exalted in Taurus, whereas Scorpio and Pisces are both exalted in Ketu. Therefore, a Naga Dosha could lead to very significant issues. On the other side, Sarpa Dosha may be weak if malefic Rahu is located in Scorpio or Pisces and malefic Ketu is placed in Taurus or Virgo. Rahu and Ketu are both weak in Scorpio and Pisces, and Rahu is also weak in Taurus and Virgo. Therefore, a Naga Dosha of this nature might not even cause really major issues. Similar to how the power of Rahu and Ketu in different signs, nakshatras, and navamshas can change the strength of Sarpa Dosha. The third issue is that the negative impacts of Naga Dosha may be lessened if Rahu and/or Ketu are impacted by favourable planets as a result of their conjunction. On the other hand, the negative consequences of Naga Dosha may worsen if Rahu and/or Ketu are under the control of malevolent planets as a result of their conjunction.
